Session Fee:  Session fee start at $50 and are based on how many people are in the family portrait. An average family of 5 is $75. This fee covers our time creating the images and preparing them for your viewing and our online viewing expenses. If we travel or have to set up our equipment in a different location other than our studio, travel fees may apply. Travel fees are based on travel distance & time.

 

Portrait Styles:   After deciding that a family portrait is to be made, you then need to consider what style of portraiture will best represent your lifestyle and taste. Linda has more than 20 years experience in creating family portraits that are just your style.  Here a few suggestions to consider. Examples of all these styles can be viewed in our online slide show gallery. If you are uncertain what style will fit your intentions, Linda will be happy to discuss and suggest your options in detail. It is our goal to become your family photographer. Getting to know your taste and understanding your family dynamics is part of our job as your professional photographer.

 

Studio: Our style of studio portraits is Contemporary in design. Often custom sizes are recommended for hanging in your home. This style will stand the test of time. It what we refer to as a “Classic”.   Custom backgrounds are considered to match the color décor of your home. This style is perfect for older children who can take direction in order to capture just the right angles of the face and body. Lighting can be dramatic and always complementary to the face.

 

Outdoors: Our Fenton studio is set in a lovely country setting.  We have a 5 acre outdoor park. Much of our property is designed around areas for creating family and children photography. We have gardens, a Swing from the “ole” oak tree. An old classic pick up, fence lines and fields of wheat are all available for that fun and free-style of portraiture. Great for casual and or active families of all ages.

 

Your Location choice: It is often requested that we go to our client’s home to create family portraits. It’s comfortable and convenient for the family.  These sessions start at $100 and often require a travel fee based on distance traveled. A minimum fee of $25 is charged for travel fee and setup. They are often more relaxed. I call these images LifeStyle portraits. We often capture many poses of the family doing what they love at home, creating music, gardening, Hot Coco by the fireplace. Some of the best Family albums we create are from photographing in and around the home. But besides going to a home we can meet you at the family cottage or a special location that is meaningful to the family.

 

Location special: Several times a year we set up for the day and invite our clients to a location of our choosing that is spectacular and create Freestyle portraits. These special locations include “the Beach” “Fall Color at Kensington” “Parshaville Grist Mill” to name a few. These sessions are advertised to our email list before going out to the general public.  We want our clients to have first choice to reserve a time. There is still a session fee, but there is no Travel fee for this Location session. You can be added to our mailing list, just drop us a line you want to be added.

 

Consultations: We highly recommend you use this additional time we offer our clients to speak with your photographer so that you can discuss Clothing choices, images that you would like, time constraints, and so much more. A highly successful portrait session should always include this very important consultation.

 

Products: We offer a fine collection of photographic products.  Gallery Wrap collections, Metal prints, a fine line of pewter and sterling photo jewelry, fine leather handbags that adorn a favorite photo, Chrystal etched portrait sculptures and so much more in the area of novelty photo items. We have a fine line of greeting cards for all occasions. We have a catalog of products that make great gifting items. Presentation and ordering process: Generally your images will be available for viewing within a week of your session. Sometimes sooner, depending on the time of year. An appointment time is needed to come in for the viewing of your images. We ask you plan for an hour.   We have this fantastic software we use that offers viewing your images on a large screen, so every detail can be view with discretion. This software allows us to bring up multiple images for comparison, viewing the image in Black and White. Build albums or composites. It even allows us to mat and frame them for you to get an idea of how it will look as a finished product. For those who are wanting a wall portrait to hang in their home, it allows us to use an image of your room and actually virtually hang the framed piece in the room in the proper size.

   All our images include General art Enhancements at no additional cost. This includes softening of facial lines, dark circles under eyes, brightening of teeth, minor corrections in backgrounds. Body tapering. This added artwork, to even the smallest of print is what makes our work stand apart from the competition.   We do offer removing of brasses, fixing of clothing, switch of heads to create that perfect family portrait and just about anything your heart desires for additional fees based on the complexity of the project.

 We offer a fine line of Coffee Table Albums starting at $250, the album collections are perfect for capturing all your favorite images of the day. Your album can be personalized with special sayings or poetry and be designed to match your home décor. Many styles and price ranges to suit your budget.

 We offer a fine line of Wall Portraits and finishes starting at $220. All our wall Portraits are custom color, Mounted on art board and sprayed for longevity and UV protection. We also have a variety of finishes available such as Canvas, Metallic paper, Canvas Wraps, presentation to watercolor paper and Custom Framing and matting.

   We offer a variety of table top prints, even custom sizes that will add uniqueness to your table top image at no extra costs to you. Our Table Top Prints start at $25.

   You can save up to 50% off on table top prints when ordering Wall Décor. Bundling Wall décor and Coffee Table albums and save even more. We want you to have it all, and our unique bundling discount allows you to get what you want.

 

Delivery: Once an order has been placed and paid for, your order generally is ready within 14 business days. Exceptions would include custom framing and custom albums. These products can sometimes add another 5 working days. We do accept Visa and MC and Layaway payment plans can be arranged.

 

On Line Gallery: We do have an online Gallery for you to share your images with Family Friends. Once you have come in and placed your order, we will post your favorite images on line for 2 weeks. Family and friends can then order if they choose. 

 

Regarding our files: We do not sell our files, however we realize that most want to share their experience and results of their session with family and friends using social media.   We give you the images you purchased. These files are perfectly sized for internet use and will bare our studio logo discreetly on the image. They are not printable quality images.
